What's new with DS Business Support
As you are all aware, next month is January which means Self Assessment deadline. If you haven’t already paid your 2022/23 tax bill – here is your reminder that you have just a month left to pay.
Whilst we are on the subject of Self Assessments – for those of you who are yet to send over your information 2022/23 submission, please can I ask that this is with us within the next 7 days. Failure to have this with us may result in your Self Assessment being filed after the 31st January deadline which will incur penalties and fees from HMRC

Don't forget: If you are always hands on at work and struggle to keep on top of admin and paying suppliers, we are here to take that off your to do list. We have teamed up with a great software company which integrate with your Xero - meaning any bills which are due are paid on time - without us needing direct access to your bank account. If you would like more information on this service, please let me know - this can also be used for paying wages

HMRC Updates
HMRC have announced changed to National Insurance contributions from 6th January 2023 for the employed and the self-employed. This announcement is a positive one as its being reduced! Corporation Tax ChangesHMRC have changed the way they are charging Corporation Tax. This mainly effects companies with a yearly profit of £250k and over, who will now pay 25% rather than 19%.- Corp Tax will also be changing for companies who earn between £50k - £250K profit and will be on a variable percentage charge- Profit under £50k for this year will remain on the original 19%.
